It is hard to believe that our company moved into our head office nearly fourteen years ago. At the time many of my friends thought it was a pie-in-the-sky dream that would never come to fruition, but against all odds we made it. We have come a long way from the original fourteen staff we had on opening day and I am proud of what we have accomplished.
In order to celebrate opening our fourth store, I decided that it was time that we gave our head office a bit of a facelift. The building was starting to show its age, and if we wanted to continue to make a good impression with our clients and suppliers, I felt that we needed to give our home a little TLC.
The first stage of the renovations was completed a week ago when we found a great deal on commercial windows Los Angeles. The new windows really changed the appearance of the building and modernized it. We have a new door on order as well, and once that arrives, the front of the office will be almost complete.
We are still working out some kinks in terms of finding someone to paint the building, but when we are done, I know the office will look brand new again. Hopefully the renovations won’t take much more time.
It seems that we never take any time to get away from our real estate projects, but truth be told, I love renovating houses. There is just something about taking a run-down home and turning it into a palace again. I guess I am still a kid at heart in many ways, and adding value to these properties is certainly a passion of mine.
So this weekend when we have the opportunity to work on restoring a home in the Hamptons, I was stoked – not only would I get a weekend away from the house, but I would be out doing something that I loved. I was also looking forward to the deal that we were able to get on some replacement windows in hampton that a good friend of ours was going to give us, and it was going to give us the opportunity to check out his shop.
With the weekend quickly approaching, I can barely contain my excitement – I know it will be fun
Since we moved into our new home, my wife has been making a list of things that she wants to renovate in the home. I was hoping that we wouldn’t deal with it for awhile, but it seems like she has different plans.
I noticed a problem when she came home with new light fixtures for the bathroom – I guess her renovation dreams were becoming a reality.
Well that isn’t entirely true – the renovations won’t start until the weekend… I can’t wait…
