Getting Ready for our Anniversary

With our wedding anniversary just a couple of weeks away, I wanted to get something special for my husband to celebrate our five years together. We were not going to have the chance to go on a long trip or anything, but we will have a night together at a hotel, and I wanted to make it special.

So I went online today to look at nurse costumes (one of his fantasies) and ordered one for the night. Not only will it fulfil something that he has wanted for a long time, but it will make a very memorable fifth wedding anniversary.

I guess I’ll have to try and come up with something better for the tenth anniversary…

Fixing my Sluggish Laptop

One of the things that I have noticed lately about my laptop is that it is running slow. The biggest part of the problem is that I have many windows open at the same time and it just doesn’t like it.

So, I have decided that today would be the day that I will order some more RAM for my laptop. I made sure that it could take some more, and I bet that it will do better with 1 GB of memory compared to the 512 MB that it has now.

Since I have never done this before on a laptop, I hope that it comes with instructions, though I guess I will have to wait a week or so for it to get here. I can’t wait until it works fast again - when it is slow, I get frustrated very easily.

Fashionable Medical Jewelry

Since I have suffered from Asthma since I was a child, I have always worn a medical id bracelet to let paramedics know about it even if I am not conscious. Though I have never had to use it, it is there, just in case something happens to me.

But I was never really fond of the bracelet - I always wanted something a little classier. So, when I became an adult, I purchased a watch that bore the same information as my bracelet - but it looks a little more upscale and fits in with my fashion choices.

The Right Time to get Life Insurance

I really never considered getting life insurance until I was married and had kids. You see, before that point, I had no one that depended on me for support and I had enough savings in the bank to take care of my funeral costs.

But once I had kids, that all changed. They would need to be taken care of if I was gone, so I purchased a term life insurance policy to make sure that they were taken care of.

Though I hope I never need to use it, by having the right amount of life insurance in place, I sleep better at night knowing that my loved ones will be taken care of if I am gone.

Replacing the Network Cables in the Office

From time to time we need to replace the network cables in the office. The fact of the matter is things wear out, and they need to be replaced from time to time.

So, the boss has sent me to the store to pickup some CAT5e cabling to replace the length of defective cabling. I should get going before my shift is over - it needs to be done today.

Acne Reduction

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t really like acne. Yes, I suffer from it as well, and I just don’t like it.

I have tried many different cleansers with mixed results - but mostly they ended up being pretty ineffective.

So when a friend suggested that I try Lipovox, I decided that I would try it out. Not only was it supposed to get rid of my acne, but help with my wrinkles (don’t have any yet) and weight loss.

Though it is too early to tell, I have seen some reduction in the amount of Acne on my face - maybe we’ll do a follow up with the results later.

Computer Rentals for Business Testing

I have recently purchased some delinquent credit accounts, and I will be trying to collect on them. We have rented some space in an office building and we will be setting up a collection agency in that space.

But we are unsure if this business will be viable or not. Sure, crunching the numbers shows that it will work out okay, but until we actually get started, we won’t know for sure.

It is for that reason that we have gone with computer rentals instead of purchasing them as it will allow us to test the viability of the business first. If it turns out to to be as profitable as the numbers show, we will then purchase the equipment that we need.

New Diet Pills

I realize that sometimes medication doesn’t work for everyone, and usually it doesn’t work for me. You see, a couple of months ago, I tried to take some diet pills and though I had some good initial results, in the end, I didn’t end up losing much.

So, I have decided to try something else. A good friend of mine has used Phentermine successfully for the past six months, so I have decided to give it a try. Hopefully, it will be better than what I was taking. But, you don’t know if you try, right?

Need More RAM

I was so excited when I bought my new 24" LCD monitor - there was going to be so much more room on the screen to run more applications. I could have tons of windows open at once!

But what I failed to consider was the fact that I didn’t have enough computer memory to make that happen. I suppose that it should have been obvious, but I didn’t realize that I wouldn’t have enough to run tons of programs at once.

Thankfully, it is easy to order RAM online, and that is what I did. So, now I just have to wait for it to get here, and then watch out - I am going to try to run as many programs as possible!

Packing for the Trip

It is not very often that we get to go for a trip without the kids, but this weekend is our chance to do so. I think it has been at least two years since we left the last time, and I am so excited about having this break. We have my mother-in-law coming to stay with the kids, so my wife and I can get a much needed break from them.

We are just in the process of packing our Swiss Army suitcases with clothes for the weekend and then we will be off tomorrow morning.

Though the trip won’t be very long, it will be nice to get away. Only a few more hours to go!
