Read More On DVD Digital Home Cinemas

You were likely so happy the day on which you purchased your DVD digital home cinema. You had quality picture, sound and you truly felt as though you were right there in the middle of it all. All the action, drama, all your favorite movie stars; it was like having a movie theater right in your living room. However, your DVD digital home cinema that you spent so much money on is soon going to be obsolete. That's right. It feels like just yesterday the DVD format came out. However just like VHS and Beta, you'll soon find that stores don't carry them. Blu Ray is now becoming the in thing and movies aren't going to be manufactured in DVD format in a year or two. However, if you already have an HD ready digital home cinema, you will be able to get rid of your DVD player and you can hook up a Blu Ray player to it and you'll be good to go.

No-one Told You?

The statement basically just came out a couple of months gone that DVD digital home theatres were going to be outdated. This was on the heels of all of the X Box and other gaming consoles selling out that played the DVD format. The Playstation 3 was the only game system to play Blu Ray and everyone wondered why that was. Well, it seems that the other game systems will also become obsolete unless they can provide a Blu Ray add on. So if you happen to have got a DVD digital home theatre, it seems like you can only have one or two years left before it can become unimportant. Sure, you can still play all your old films on your DVD digital home theatre but if you would like new flicks, you could be out of good luck.

What To Do?

You can always shop for a new system. Or, you can use your DVD digital home theatre for so long as practicable. As there are still new DVDs coming out all of the time. And mail rental firms like Netflix are still dealing in DVDs, at least for the moment. So enjoy your DVD digital home cinema for so long as practicable. You never know, Blu Ray may be obsolete in a few years as well as a new technology comes out. State-of-the-art technology does come out, generally every 6 months. So don't react too irrationally. Enjoy what you have and enjoy that ultimate home theater experience. You paid all that money for it so you might as well get the most out of it while you still can.
