Living Allergy Free

One of my biggest problems with my health throughout my life has been allergies.  This is a really big problem for three seasons of the year with my reprieve being winter.  But one of the ways that I “fight” my allergies in my home is by using air cleaners.

When the air is cleaned on a regular basis, most of the dust, mold and pollen is pulled out of the air, so I am less likely to suffer from my allergies when I am indoors.  It was definitely a good decision for me.

Now… if only I could clean the air outdoors….

Picking the Right Auto Insurance Policy

While I am going through my life insurance policy, I have also set aside some time to look at my coverage on my car.  I have been reading a lot of auto insurance reviews lately, trying to find a better deal.  Frankly, I feel that I am paying too much on my current plan, and I am hoping that I find something better.

But it isn’t always easy shopping around.  It seems that my friends only have limited knowledge, so I have turned to the Internet.  But research always takes time – at least in the meantime I still have insurance, right?

Reviewing my Insurance Policy

Just like every spring, I take the time to go over my universal insurance policy.  I do this religiously each year to ensure that I have the coverage that I need and that I am getting a good rate on what I pay for.  For the most part, the choices that I made a number of years ago when I bought the policy in the first place were good ones, but it doesn’t hurt to check.

Besides, who wants to pay too much for their insurance policy?  I know I don’t.

Spicing Up the Living Room

One of the things that I have always found to be an eyesore in our home was the living room.  We had one that has old flower print furniture in it and really needed to be updated, but there was always something more important to spend our money on.

But this weekend we decided to splurge and do something about the “ugly” room of the house.  We went to the city and picked out a new contemporary sofa and other furniture to change the look of the room.  It will be delivered later this week and I can’t wait to see how it turns out – it will be nice to have a living room that I am not embarrassed to entertain guests in.

Finding Some Temporary Work

My brother is employed for about eight months of the year and is laid off the rest of the time.  This gives him a chance to recharge his batteries, but sometimes he suffers from boredom.  He had a real problem with it last year, so he decided that this year he was going to find a job while he had his time off.

So, he has been looking at labourer jobs to find something that he would like.  He has always been good with his hands and likes to actually work as opposed to sitting behind a desk.  I’m hoping he finds something soon – he’ll be laid off from his job in just 2 weeks.
