Donating to Children’s Charities
Even though it is after Christmas, children that are less fortunate throughout our city still have needs. I know that I didn’t have the best childhood and we went without more often than having what we needed, so I vowed that when I was older that I would give back to the community to help provide better lives for children in need.
One of the ways that we have been trying to help out is by donating toys throughout the year to various charities and shelters in our hometown. Instead of just donating funds to buy them, we actually take the time to go out shopping a few times during the year to find the items we will donate.
I like to think that it brings some fun to our lives and to the lives of the children and that puts a smile on my face.
