Training to be a Security Guard
Out of all the possible career choices that my brother could have made, he decided to become a security guard. He has always been fascinated with police movies, the FBI and even the military. After he found out about a health issue he had, the military was out, so he decided to become a security guard.
One of the things that he was really looking forward to was the training. He knew that he would have the opportunity to try stun guns, batons and even learn some hand to hand combat moves. It was going to be tough, but I knew that he would make it.
As it turns out, he passed his training with flying colors and then was out looking for a job. It didn’t take him very long to land a job as an airport security officer. Now, months later he still is very happy with his career choice and tells of the excitement that comes along with his job. I’ve never seen him so happy.
As for the future of his career, he isn’t sure if working at the airport will be enough for him. He has been looking at getting a job with one of the armored car services and he is waiting to hear back on some other opportunities. It will be interesting to watch where his career takes him. I’m very proud of what he has accomplished.
