The Kids are Getting an Xbox for Christmas

One of the best parts of being a parent is that you get to pick out the presents for your children.  In some ways, most of us try to get those things that we wanted in our youth but were never allowed to have.  In my case, it is video games.

So, I have decided to get the kids an Xbox, some extra Xbox controllers and a couple of Xbox games.  I think they are old enough for an Xbox 360 since they are all teenagers now.

It is going to use up most of the birthday budget, but that is ok – I bet they will love us to bits when they see what they get!

But when the company she worked for went belly up, she was in a bad predicament – they needed the money to support their family.

The kids have always wanted to go m(and so have I) so it will be a dream come true.  Too bad Christmas is so far away… I can’t wait!

Spending Time With the Family

One of the things that I learned early on being a parent was that it was important to spend time with your kids.  They are only young once, and you don’t really realize it until they grow up and they are ready to leave home.

One way that we spent time together was vacations.  I used my travel reward card to collect points and keep the costs lower – it made spending time with the family that much more affordable.
