Getting Life Insurance for my Son
Since my son is in college and out in the “real†world, we decided that we would help him get his first life insurance plan. Sure, he doesn’t have any children or a spouse to support, but we thought it would be a good idea for him to get it now at his age so that he could lock in his premiums.
But before we got him any insurance, we showed him the importance of getting a term life insurance quote. We wanted this to be a learning experience for him as well, since someday when we are gone, he will have to do it himself.
Anyway, if you have a child that is college age and moved away from home, consider helping them get their first life insurance plan – it is a good learning experience.
