Measuring the Oxygen in my Blood
One of the things that has always fascinated me is medicine. It seems that doctors always have some sort of fancy gadget to measure the state of your health. I suppose for me that is the one saving grace of having to go to the hospital – I get to see their new toys.
Well, that is exactly what happened when I visited the hospital last night. The doctor used an oximeter to measure the amount of oxygen in my blood. It was well worth the three hour wait in the waiting room.
