HP Color LaserJet 3800n Printer – Why It’s Ahead Of The Game In Technology
Spending a few moments with the nice HP Color LaserJet 3800n printer using 3800n replacement toner is usually sufficient time to gain a full appreciation of how well this Hewlett-Packard product works. It is a member of the 3800 line of HP network printers and features several upgrades or additions to the 3800 series that its predecessor didn't feature. These attributes have given the new 3800n a bit more going for it in terms of performance, for one.
To begin with, the 3800n now features HP's Jetdirect Fast Ethernet embedded print server. As well, it has two different types of wireless capabilities, including 802.11b/g wireless LAN features and it also comes to any network it's going to be hooked into network-ready. In terms of making it easier to interface a printer, any IT specialist will say that one that is network-ready is preferable over one that isn't.
Like every other one of the printers in the 3800 line, it features standard print speed of 22 pages per minute (ppm). Its competitors from other manufacturers usually offer printers that can only put out from 18 to 19 ppm, meaning that the 3800 will have a bit more going for it right out of the box. Additionally, it produces its print job in less than 12.5 seconds from the time it is tasked to do so.
Processing power is handled within the printer by a 533 MHz chip, which is standard processing speed among all 3800 printers. It will be able to easily take in any number of print tasks in a simultaneous manner and then prioritize them and produce them with little stuttering or any sort of hangups. Most workgroups will quickly come to appreciate this sort of versatility and functionality.
Durability is also the same with the 3800n as it is with all other 3800 models, coming in at 65,000 sheets in a 30-day period before requiring any sort of maintenance. Don't forget that all 3800s are laser jet, and required HP Color LaserJet replacement toners rather than a standard laser toner cartridge, meaning that the 3800 will require four separate printer cartridges (black, magenta, cyan and yellow).
Standard print resolution is the same, as well, across all models in the 3800 printer lineup. This particular printer features 600 dots per inch resolution, meaning that any sort of print product that emerges will usually look crisp and clear and with no blurring or smudging in evidence. This is so even with graphics-rich print taskings, which the 3800n handles fairly easily.
In terms of the amount of paper the printer can store within itself, 850 sheets is the norm. This would be spread out over 3 different trays, one of which is an optional addition. It also can accommodate as many as 10 envelopes in a print job, though there is no access to an automated feeder, which is a very minor point that really shouldn't pose a problem.
It does all of this with a standard 160 MB of memory which can be upgraded to 544 MB which, taken together with all of its other attributes, makes the HP Color LaserJet 3800n printer a more than capable printer well-suited to small and medium-sized workgroups. Combined with its reasonable retail price, and with its nice prints speeds, there's a great deal to like about this versatile and durable Hewlett-Packard product.
