Safety Training at Work

Every year we take mandatory safety training at work.  It has been a very valuable experience as there have not been any work injuries for a number of years now.  Not only do we appreciate it as workers, but I think that our employer does too.

We cover many different topics including proper safety procedures, proper use of safety products (such as hard hats and gloves) as well as how to handle emergency situations such as fires.  Though some of the workers find it boring, I am happy that they take the time to make sure that we know what to do incase there is a problem.

We finish the day with a staff barbeque.  I will have to say that I don’t mind the training at all – it is a nice change from the work we do everyday.

Our New Neighbor

Living in a small town, there is really not a lot of action.  Sure, you do get people moving in and out of town, but really there is not a lot of new construction.

But, someone just purchased the lot across from our home and they have already dug a basement.  I had the chance to speak with them, and they told me that they are getting a manufactured home moved onto their new basement.

It will be nice to see a new home in our town as it has been nearly five years since anyone has built anything.  I just hope that they are friendly.

Tips on taking care of a car

The maintenance of a car is one the things that car owners tend to overlook.  That is the wrong thing to do considering how dependant we are to our vehicles. Because not properly maintaining your car will lead to many problems. Problems that will your pockets. But also problems that will arise if you can't use your car.

Let us proceed to the steps in taking care of our cars. This is from my experience running a San Diego auto repair company. You like to make yor car last longer and running smoothly.

The first part we want to look at is keeping your car running smoothly. It is a simple step but it will make your car running smoothly. You will have a long-lasting car.Not doing it will lead to problems like failed smog check.  I have seen it time and time again in my San Diego smog check shop.

So the simple thing you need to do is change the oil.Undergoing tune ups is another must-do.  By doing these two things you will keep your engine running smoothly.

Another thing is to check your brakes.Aside from saving you money, this will be more important for the safety of your passengers.  I have seen a lot of accidents from failed brakes doing business with my San Diego brakes shop.Another thing you should keep in mind is checking and keeping the brake fluids filled.  Also learn how to use your brakes right. Instead of suddenly breaking, you should press it slowly a good distance from the object in front of you. Follow these steps and you will not have problems in a long while.

Following the steps mentioned above will help you in a lot of ways. You will make your car last longer and run smoothly.

Reading More Weight-Loss Studies

I have been continuing my research into ways to lose weight.  I have been doing this for my own interests (I need to lose more weight), as well as it is my choice for my doctorate thesis.  I guess I have had a passion for this industry since I started taking different weight loss pills two years ago.

Today I have been reading about Stimerex ES and it looks promising.  It is designed to help you lose weight by increasing your metabolism to help you burn fat.  I am going to have to delve into it a bit and look at some of the studies on the market to determine the suitability and side effects.

I will be doing this over the next couple of years, so I will be talking about some of my findings here – just make sure you consult your physician before acting on anything I write here – I am not a doctor yet.

Looking at an Anniversary Present

With our wedding anniversary coming up right away, I thought that I would try to stay ahead of the game this year and go shopping early.  I know that my wife would approve (if I told her) and I would really like to get her something special this year.

After she lost her engagement ring this past year, I have been thinking that I should look at certified diamonds and then get a band custom made so that we can create an exact replica of her engagement ring.  It looks like the price is going to be a lot less than I had expected and I think that it is what I will get her.

I just can’t believe that we have been married so long – I hope that she loves her gift!
