I find that ever since we had kids, our priorities in our lives have changed.  It is no longer just about us, and we have gone to great lengths to ensure that our kids are taken care of once we have passed away.

Some of examples of what we have done include buying life insurance and mortgage protection insurance on our home to make sure that they have enough money to live when we are gone.

We have also arranged for some good friends of our to take care of them as well as laid out some guidelines for when both of our families can visit them.

I know that it is a bit morbid when you think about your children living without you, but it is a fact of life – in the end you want them to be well taken care of and raised as though you were there doing it.
