Increasing Your PC’s Performance
Most people upgrade their computer every couple of years at the latest. You always seem to need a faster PC than before. But it doesnt always stay as fast as it once used to be. People use their computer for a variety of things, such as work, surfing, gaming, etc. All this activity can have a negative effect on your computers performance.
The secret of this problem lies with the registry. The registry is a database which contains information about your hardware and your software. Whenever you install a new application or connect a new piece of hardware to your computer, your registry will save these changes to its database.
The real problems begin when you install/uninstall an application several times. Each time the registry will, very likely, not be able to clear all its registry values for that application. This means that the registry becomes littered with invalid entries.
All of these invalid entries piling up are what slows down your computer. If you clean up your registry files youll immediately notice improvements to your computer:
-Applications will start up faster
-Your PC will start up, and shut down, faster
-Applications wont just freeze anymore, so no more having to press CTRL+ALT+DEL
-Applications will not only start up faster, they will run smoother too
It is probably quite puzzling to many people why their computer just seems to run slower and slower as time goes on. Now you know that your registry becoming a bit clogged is a very likely explanation. A regular clean up wouldnt hurt!
