How To Create Content and Bonuses Easily

by Stu McLaren

This article is the answer to a great question I was asked two days ago. The question was, “I am starting a business and my idea is to host teleseminars. At present, I don’t have tons of stuff to offer but I would like very much to give away bonus gifts and this way to attract people to my seminars. Can you suggest some great gifts that are also easy to create?” Here is what I answered:

One of the simplest solutions is to use audio. When you are an expert in a particular area, it takes a phone call or two to teach people how to do something, or to ask a subject expert about it.

As a result, the audio can be repurposed a multitude of different ways. Number one, you can use the audio just straight up as a recording that people can then download. Number two, you can get it transcribed and you can turn that into some type of an eBook or special report or something of that nature or you can pack them both together and you can turn it into a physical product.

I myself prefer the audio to have some form or shape and that’s why I make teleseminars. Some time ago I used to make a teleseminar weekly. I was in product creation mode and I wanted to create really a lot of products. I did teleseminars on every topic imaginable, recorded them and transcribed them.

Now I have a whole bunch of products that I have used that a variety of different ways. Number one is to sell the product outright. Number two is to use the products as different bonuses for different affiliate offers and/or bonuses for some of my other packages.

So for me, the easiest and the fastest way to create content and products and bonuses is definitely through creating some type of a recorded audio. With that, doing teleseminars was for me, the best method because you can add value to people who listen to you live and you can even sell the content live so you are getting paid to create the bonus and paid to create the content.

It is the fastest way to create content because you do not have to sit down and stare at a blank page, the material comes straight from your head and it flows. If you ever got stuck, the best way, just like I said, to write down, say 10 to 12 different questions and get somebody to ask you them. As a result you give a five-minute answer on each and you got a 60-minute recording.

Another great idea to create content and bonuses easily is to write tip series. Tips are easy to absorb and readers love them.

For example, if you have a knowledge base on a certain area, sit down and think of the top 10 tips or the top 20 tips and then you can elaborate on each of those tips further. For the most part, you can distribute those in a one-sheet page or something of that nature.

Checklists are one more cute idea for a bonus. Customers like checklists because a checklist gathers all the necessary stuff in a very condensed format. Checklists spare the hassle to read through tens or thousands of pages because they have all the important info listed as separate steps.

The list of bonus ideas doesn’t end here. You can do many other things but the most important thing to bear in mind is that you must always repurpose your work. If you are recording a teleseminar, it doesn’t matter if you yourself did it or you just were an interviewer. What matters is that you have created the product.
