How To Find Online JV’s and Affiliates In An Offline Industry
Some time ago I was asked a very interesting question: "It is very difficult to find online JV partners and affiliates for my business. My business is mainly offline. Can you give me some ideas what to do?" Many people ask this question and because of that I think it is best if I share my answer with them. That's why I wrote this article.
If you find people that are marketing to them offline, then you are the bridge to help bring those people online. So that is going to be a very attractive offer for somebody who primarily maybe focused on marketing to these offline candidates through offline means.
You are now bringing them an opportunity that says, "Hey, I am willing to take care of all of the groundwork, by setting up an online campaign that will teach them about XYZ. Would you be open to possibly being one of my guests, adding a couple of tips or something of that nature"?
Your partners will benefit because you will set up an affiliate campaign and they will receive cash for the traffic they send your way.
In addition to launching an affiliate program and inviting them to join, you can also take advantage of any customers lists they might have. These might be offline customers but you can offer to pay for an offline campaign the main purpose of which is to bring these offline customers online. Then you can offer your partners a percentage of the revenue.
The above mentioned idea has been a very successful one because in most cases a joint venture initiative does not start with two partners, who have brilliant proposals and everybody wins. But with our approach this is what happens because your partner will pay nothing for the campaign and will get some money in the form of affiliate commission.
As you see, the above arrangement is of mutual benefit - your partner makes money as an affiliate, you get a list of people (and their emails), who are interested in a product you market.
If this initiative works, your partner will soon see that the opportunities for online marketing are great and most likely he or she will be interested in establishing a joint venture, or at least an affiliate program with you.
