Whenever I go grocery shopping, I always go and take a look at the food storage units. I use a lot of them, as I try to send reusable containers of yogurt and pudding in my children’s lunches, rather than sending a bunch of prepackaged food. I think it makes no sense to create more garbage if you don’t have to.

I remember when I found a food storage unit that was the perfect size for putting a sandwich into. I decided that my kids would never take a sandwich in a plastic bag again. I bought quite a few of them, because my kids have a nasty habit of losing their containers and I never see them again.

This is one of the reasons that I always tend to look for new containers for food storage when I am grocery shopping. I like the cheap ones, as it does not matter so much if the kids lose them. It is much more upsetting when I don’t get my Tupperware back.
