Burning the Candle at Both Ends
I would say that I am definitely burning the candle at both ends. I am not only a teacher’s aide for one of the professors in our college, but I am a teacher’s aide for three of them. It is getting to be a little bit too much, as this week I have to mark a management essay assignment for one of the classes.
Next week I have to mark an arts essay assignment for an other class as well as trying get some my own studies done in my own work as well. I had figured it would be a lot of fun trying to juggle this job working for three different professors as I figured the experience would be great.
What I didn’t figure was that it was going to start affecting my own grades. I handed in a sociology essay that got a very poor mark and this was just something that never happened to me. I knew I had not put as much effort into this essay as I usually do into my work and this is what told me that I was working way too much and needed to cut back.
