Checking up on Students Who Have Cheated
I was recently hired by the local college to head up a new, and special department. You see, they are are having lots of problems with students purchasing custom term papers and submitting them as their own work.
It will be up to me and my team to go through all the dissertations, scan them, and run them through a computerized system that checks for duplicate copies available on the Internet. This task will be very tedious and time consuming, but since they’re paying me very well for my time, I won’t complain.
Depending on the success of this work, we may continue to check for paid papers submitted by graduate students. Hopefully, none of the graduate students submitted a thesis that wasn’t their own. I am curious to see the number of students that have paid for and submitted work that wasn’t their own - it should be interesting.
