Personalizing My Car

I recently purchased a new car and I love it.  There is just something to be said about having a new car, and smelling that new car smell.  It is my first new car, so I am enjoying every minute of it.

But the one thing that I have noticed is all the cars that look just like mine.  I wanted to have a unique look to my car, so I went online to see if I could find something to help me set my car apart from everyone else.

I ended up at a site that sold custom grilles, and I picked up a new Chevy grille for my car.  It not only looks good, but it will set my car out from everyone else - which is just what I want.

Lunchtime Containers

Whenever I go grocery shopping, I always go and take a look at the food storage units. I use a lot of them, as I try to send reusable containers of yogurt and pudding in my children’s lunches, rather than sending a bunch of prepackaged food. I think it makes no sense to create more garbage if you don’t have to.

I remember when I found a food storage unit that was the perfect size for putting a sandwich into. I decided that my kids would never take a sandwich in a plastic bag again. I bought quite a few of them, because my kids have a nasty habit of losing their containers and I never see them again.

This is one of the reasons that I always tend to look for new containers for food storage when I am grocery shopping. I like the cheap ones, as it does not matter so much if the kids lose them. It is much more upsetting when I don’t get my Tupperware back.

Staining the Deck

Over the weekend, we finally had an opportunity to get some yard work done.  With the snow finally melted (we had some earlier in the week), we were able to do a little weeding.

Thankfully, I must have done a good job weeding last fall before the first snowfall, and it didn't take very long.  So, I moved on to staining the deck and getting ready for barbeque season.

On Sunday, we were able to bring out our teak patio furniture, and sit and enjoy our yard.  Though there is going to be some yard work in the near future, sitting outside was the perfect end to a weekend of labor.

Getting My Brother Help Again

After completing his last stay at a drug rehab facility, my brother was doing very well.  In fact, he lasted just shy of three months before he started having problems again.

Maybe he should have moved to a new town with new faces, but he fell back into his same routines and started using drugs again.

But, our family has decided to take action again and put him into another drug rehab, that has a better reputation and history of success.  Hopefully, things will work out this time and he will be able to kick his habits.

Watching Professionals at Work

I was down in New York last week to help a good friend of mine move.  You see, he needed to expand his business, so he was moving to another office across the city.

I helped him pack up most of the stuff, but it was nice to see that he hired a New York Moving Company to move all the larger items.

I was very impressed with their professionalism and speed that they were able to move out all the office furniture and I was so happy that we didn't have to do it ourselves - it would have been too much work.
