Like many people, I make a point to backup my computer on a regular basis.  It would be horrible to lose all the information on it, so I make sure to keep my backups up to date.

But, one thing that most people forget to do is store their backup somewhere safe.  Think of it this way: if your home were to burn down, would your data be safe?

Well, I make sure mine is.  I have an external hard drive that I backup all my data to.  After I am done backing everything up, I make sure to take it over to my brother’s house for safe keeping.  Chances are both of our houses will not burn down - meaning that my data is safe.
