I was taking an introductory course in interior design and we learned a lot of interesting things that I never would have thought would belong in the course. I am not complaining, as I loved learning them and have put a lot of the knowledge to good use. For this class, it was not all about the color schemes and that made it more interesting.

One of the things that we learned was how to put photos onto canvas. These can really add a personal touch to the décor of the room and I have yet to meet someone who would not rather have a canvas on their newly decorated wall, than they would a framed photograph. It is one of the biggest sellers these days.

I have quite a few of them in my own home at this time. It makes a room seem so much more elegant and I love the fact that I have large canvasses of my children hanging around the house. It certainly makes a good conversation piece, if nothing else. I loved learning how to do them and I think I might actually focus on this aspect of design.
