Protecting my Vehicles from the Elements
My pride and joy sits in my garage for most of the winter. I have an old Ford Mustang that I like to drive during the summer. But, since I live in a place that has a bunch of snow and salt on the roads in winter, I keep my baby indoors to keep it from rusting.
While the car is stored in the garage I keep it covered with one of two of my budge car covers. This protect the body of the car from the elements, and keeps the dust off the car after its’ final wash of the year.
During the winter, I drive a Ford F-150 truck. I figure that by driving a truck, I shouldn’t get stuck in the snow whether I am driving on a paved road, or off road. I have some wicked seat covers to protect the original seats from getting worn or dirty.
I try to keep the hitch on the truck protected with one of many Attitude hitch covers – and I change the covers depending on the mood. I don’t want the hitch to get rusty as I only really use it in summer when I take the trailer or boat to the lake.
I think of protecting my vehicles as protecting my investment. For the small cost of the covers, I am ensuring that I will be able to get a good price when I sell my vehicles.
