It was a sad day for me this week, when I had to let my old recliner go.  I mean, I had the recliner given to me years ago by a college buddy, and it has been the most comfortable thing I have ever sat upon.  But, my wife said that it was time for us to get some contemporary furniture, so I had to let go.

We found ourselves in a modern furniture store today looking at new sofas and chairs for our living room (yes those hand me down couches are gone too).  I guess she wanted to replace all the furniture in the house, so the shopping trip ended up being rather expensive.

In the end we ended up buying contemporary bedroom furniture, living room furniture, and even a new dining set.  They will be delivering everything next Tuesday, so our house will look completely different by then.  To be honest, I think that this was the perfect time to buy - I will quite enjoy the new look of our home.
