I was talking to my brother who lives in New York on the phone last night.  Just before Christmas, he found  a new condo and they managed to sell their home, so they needed to be out of their house before January 1st.  Being that this was a bad time of year for moving, they decided to try and find some New York movers that would help them out.

They looked in the Yellow pages for movers and proceeded to call them all.  Most of them were closed over the holidays, but they managed to find one that wasn't.  They booked them and came on the 28th and moved everything in just a few hours. 

They now have to unpack before their big New Years Eve party they have in their home, but they were relieved that they didn't have to do the move themselves.
