For those of you out there that own a car, it will come to a point where you will have to get rid of it - either because you buy something better, or it just gets too old to be reliable.

Now, there are many options of what you can do with your old car.  You could sell it (either for use or parts), take it to a push-pull or drag event (and get money towards a new vehicle) or donate it.

I knew very little about donating a vehicle until today.  Someone at work mentioned that car donations were a great way of getting rid of an old car - and they could get a tax receipt for their donation.

I checked out Car Angel (www.carangel.com) which uses the proceeds from the donations to make videos for kids and teens.  They even come pick up your car, free of charge.

So, if you are not fond of doing a private sale of your car, or it just doesn’t work anymore consider making a donation of your vehicle - and help out charitable organizations in your area.
