I like to look into different ways to make my money work for me on a daily basis.  Sometimes I discover something new, other times I just see something that I overlooked in the past.

For example, today while driving on the outskirts of the city, I noticed how much our city has been growing.  Pretty much everywhere you look, there are new houses being built.

The funny thing is, that across the street from this development lies farmer’s fields.  Now, if you could buy the land from them before the city does, you would get a good return on you land investment.

Before you jump on this idea, be sure to consider that you will not be getting any money from the land until you sell it.  So, if you are thinking of this as a strategy to make a quick buck, stop for a minute and make sure that holding onto the land is an option for you.  Take a worse case scenario, say ten years, and if you can hold onto it, then maybe this type of investment will be okay for you.
