Time Will Tell

I was recently looking at mobile homes for sale. I move around a lot and it would be nice to just pack up and take my home with me, rather than always looking for a new house. All I would need this way, is a lot. It would make it a lot easier for packing and I wouldn’t feel like I was lost all the time. It would also be better for my little dog.

I am also looking into a manufactured home loan. I was wondering if I might have a problem, since I do move around so much, but I have talked to a couple of people and it looks like it won’t be that big of a deal. I move at least once a year and I thought it might be an issue if a lender thought they might lose track of me, but apparently they are like God and will find you no matter what.

I did apply for the loan with no PMI. I am looking to save as much money as possible and am looking to simplify my life. I hope that I am making good decisions regarding my future, and I have a good feeling about it, so I must be doing something right. I guess only time will tell.

Diabetes in Children Affects a Family’s Finances

We have a family friend that their oldest son was recently diagnosed with diabetes.  Now this was a shock to them as diabetes does not run in either of their families.  They had to be careful what their son ate and had to make sure that he understood his condition as well.

But perhaps the biggest change for them was the financial strain the disease imposed on their family.  Unfortunately for them, their Medicare health insurance wasn't adequate enough to cover their costs for Insulin, and his testing supplies.

Thankfully, they had taken out some Medicare supplement insurance about a year before he was diagnosed, and that helped out a bit with his expenses.  But they still found that they were struggling to keep up with the expenses to keep his diabetes under control.

Thankfully, relief came to them in the mail.  They received a flyer in the mail for an offer for free diabetic supplies with a simple application for them to fill out online.  They tried it out, and now they get some supplies free each month.  They have gone from struggling financially, do doing okay now.

Holiday Moving Help

I was talking to my brother who lives in New York on the phone last night.  Just before Christmas, he found  a new condo and they managed to sell their home, so they needed to be out of their house before January 1st.  Being that this was a bad time of year for moving, they decided to try and find some New York movers that would help them out.

They looked in the Yellow pages for movers and proceeded to call them all.  Most of them were closed over the holidays, but they managed to find one that wasn't.  They booked them and came on the 28th and moved everything in just a few hours.

They now have to unpack before their big New Years Eve party they have in their home, but they were relieved that they didn't have to do the move themselves.

Shopping for a New Mailbox

Seems that my mailbox received its' last piece of mail.  We have had a plastic mailbox on the side of our home for a number of years and it has worked great.  Thing is, we were not counting on the elements getting to it.

The other day, I went outside to check the mail and it was really, really cold out.  I opened the mailbox, and went to close it, and the mailbox fell off of the side of the house, hit the cement step, and the bottom broke out of it.  So, I guess it was time to go buy a new mail box.

I went to the hardware store to take a look at all the mailboxes they offered.  There were many different styles, and I picked out one (okay, the wife picked it out) and we put it on the house that same day.  I hope it lasts at least as long as the old one, but it doesn't matter that much - it really wasn't that expensive anyway.

Cheap Viral Advertising Pens

If you want to get the word out about your business using a viral advertising method, you should try using custom pens.  With the cost less than a dollar, pens are very inexpensive, and effective.

You see, pens tend to change hands.  How often have you lent a pen to someone and then didn't get it back?  Pens tend to travel and change hands frequently over their lives, making your advertising pens reach a large number of people besides your customers.

It is a great, inexpensive way to spread the word about your business or service.
