Making Homemade Jewelry
I have had a hobby for a number of years now making homemade jewelry. Even though the pieces I make are made at home, there is no reduction in quality compared to what you would get at a store. In fact, in some respects, the jewelry I make is better - as I am very meticulous.
Now for about the past year or so, I have been making jewelry combining loose diamonds with Chain mail. I make mostly bracelets and earrings, and they are very popular - and very beautiful.
I make a couple of trips per year to purchase my diamonds. I particularly like two sets of wholesalers that sell me the diamonds at a reasonable price. The Houston diamonds I buy are of a larger carat or size. Quite often I use these diamonds on pieces that are more expensive, or are designed to stand out.
The San Antonio diamonds I buy are smaller, but are of better clarity. I find myself selling pieces made with these diamonds to customers that are a little pickier about the color of their stones.
This hobby has become very popular and it is getting to the point where I need to expand my operations. Hopefully I will be able to find someone with the skill and drive to help me succeed in this business.
