Thinking of Starting a Scrapbooking Store
As my friends know, I am an avid scrapbooker. I pretty much scrapbook whenever I have a free minute - after studying, in between working on projects, or when I have a quiet moment at home. I am very passionate about my hobby and I would like to think I am pretty good at it.
About once a month I teach at the big box scrapbooking store in our area. Speaking of that, I am very unhappy with both the selection and price of the scrapbooking supplies at the store - there is a need for a independent scrapbooking store.
With a void to fill, I have been considering starting up a scrapbooking shop. Now, I don’t have a lot of money to do it, so I have been considering getting a loan to do it. With that in mind, I have been doing some research as to some options that would allow me finance my new business startup.
An unsecured business loan would be a possibility. Seeing that the company does not exist yet, I will have to come up with a good business plan and presentation to get the lender on my side. Now, I am a little scared though, as my credit rating is not so good, so I have been looking into other options as well.
I might have to apply for a business loan for bad credit instead. Chances are I might pay a higher interest rate, but at least I could start the business. From what I have read, there are a few more hoops to jump through, but I am sure the loan officer could explain it to me.
I also came across a new service (at least to me and my friends) that will work for when I do have the business running. If I find myself short on cash and need some in a jiffy, I could apply for a business cash advance. It is quite similar to a regular cash advance, though it is geared towards the needs of a business. You can apply for one online and typically get an answer within 24 hours. I will have to keep it in mind.
Well, I still need to work on the business plan for the business. I also have a few friends that could be potential investors - I think I am going to talk to them too.
