Part of our Christmas letter that we send out every year is our personal finance news to the family.  Now, this may seem kind of weird, but for us it helps us both measure our success as well as stay accountable to someone (that being our family).

I have started to work on this years Christmas letter and it is going to be pretty exciting.  The most exciting piece is that our biggest debt this year is our new mortgage.  We are so excited as this means that we have purchased our first home.

Another thing to mention is that our car insurance has gone up this year - this may sound bad, but there is a good reason.  We have purchased a new vehicle and sold our old two door coupe.

So, with a brand new big house and a brand new car, we decided that there was one thing missing from our lives.  But we rectified that situation as well.  We are so pleased to announce that by the time we write our Christmas letter for next year, our expenses will include diapers and formula.
