On the Wall or On a Stand?
I have been looking at plasma televisions lately and I am impressed. I have never seen a picture so sharp and so life like. It gives you the experience like you are there.
The problem I have though is that I have options. No longer do you put your television in a home entertainment unit, but now you can either hand it up or put it on a stand.
Hanging it on the wall looks really cool and that would free up some space in my living room. My problem would be that I would have to find a place to put all my components. Maybe if I was moving into a new house it would be a good solution since they could put all the cables in the wall.
My other option is a plasma stand. Going this route, I could mount the television on the stand (so it still looks cool) and have somewhere to put my components. Another thing for me to consider is that if I ever decide to move my television, the wall mount will leave screw holes, whereas the stand will not.
I will have to discuss it with my wife a little bit more before we buy. Wait… I have to convince her to buy the television first…
