The Love of a Parent
I recently went for coffee with an old school buddy of mine. We talked about what we did since college, the jobs we had and our kids. I proceeded to talk about my children and then I asked him about his.
He said he had three children, but his last one, Sasha has cerebral palsy. I have heard of the disease, but I wasn’t aware of what that meant as a parent. He explained to me that he loved her just the same as his other kids, and it had taught him patience and tolerance. In essence, he now sees the world from a different perspective.
We are going to get together on the weekend for our children to play together. I told my kids when I got home and they can’t wait.
