Getting My First Credit Card
I made the decision to get my first credit card. I am a University student living on a fixed income and thought the emergency plastic backup might be the way to go.
After making that big decision, I realized I was going to have to make some more.
It is not as simple as just getting a credit card. I wanted to find the best credit card for me. There were some with annual fees - no thanks - and some that gave you cash back on your purchases. There were some 0% credit cards that looked good too - they gave you no interest for the first six months.
There were so many options.
In the end, since I never planned on carrying a balance and thus never intended to pay interest anyway’s, I decided to go with a cashback credit card offer. So, yesterday my card came and it was very exciting to tuck my very own charge card away for safekeeping. After all, you never know when it is going to be a rainy day.
