Adding Life to my House

As a kid, I can remember living in a house full of plants.  There was not too many rooms that did not have plants in them except maybe our bedrooms.  Not only did they make the air in the house better, they added a touch of outdoors to an otherwise boring indoor setting.

Now, out on my own for a few years now, I have decided that my house needs a little life in it too.  I spend a lot of time working at my desk here at home and sometimes it would be nice to get a touch of the outdoors indoors.

The reason why I haven’t put plants in my house to this point is that I am allergic to a lot of pollen and plants.  So, my goal is not to make me sick, but rather make the house more inviting.

We were out shopping one day, and I found the solution to my problems:  silk trees.  They still give you the feeling that they are real, but without any of my allergies acting up.  As an added bonus you don’t have to water them either (in my case I would probably forget).

We will be getting some trees later on this afternoon.  I can’t wait to see the change they will make in my home :)
